Wide receiver is still the biggest need for the Colts entering the draft. We now look at who the top targets should be for them going into next week’s draft.

The number one need for the Colts right now is wide receiver. They still need guys that they can count on to catch the football on a regular basis. They did add Devin Funchess to help the problem, that one addition isn’t enough. The offense needs more guys.

Because of that need, we now look at the top targets for the team in the upcoming draft. It isn’t a super strong wide receiver draft, but there are some guys who should fall near their 26th and 34th overall picks who they should consider taking.

The number one guy they should be targeting is A.J. Brown. I have been high on him for weeks, and in fact have the Colts taking him with their number one pick. He is the most reliable target in the draft in terms of production and could be a big asset to the Colts’ offense.

Number two on their target list should be N’Keal Harry out of Arizona State. Harry was also super productive in college, collecting two consecutive 1,000 yard seasons in his last two years in college. He is also a big target at 6’4 213 pounds. Athletic guys like that are very useful.

If D.K. Metcalf were to fall to the Colts, he should be their number three target. He is another big guy, but his production wasn’t quite as good as his teammate Brown. His lure is his potential because of his freakish athleticism and body. He probably won’t fall that far.

The last guy they should look at with those two picks is Parris Campbell out of Ohio State. He is a fast guy who flourished under a more pass-happy offense last year. He had 12 touchdown catches and was the most explosive guy on the field for OSU. The Colts could use that for sure.

Next. How can the Colts use Devin Funchess effectively?. dark

A lot of these guys have similar ceilings in the NFL. The Colts would be stronger with any one of these guys on their team.
