Kansas City Chiefs 12-4:

Passing: 309.7 (3rd)

Rushing 115.9 (16th)

Total Defense: 405.5 (31st)

The Chiefs obviously had a great season in 2018. To go along with a top-flight quarterback season where Patrick Mahomes threw 50 touchdowns and only 12 interceptions. It is also notable the Chiefs had the #1 scoring offense with a 35.3 average throughout the season. The defense was, however, second to last in the total category which is probably why the offense had such a great season. I still don’t think this is a game the Colts can win and I think they lose a close game putting them at 4-2 on the season.

Los Angeles Chargers 12-4:

Passing yards: 255.6 (10th)

Rushing yards: 117.1 (15th)

Total Defense: 333.7 (9th)

The Chargers had a great year in 2018 making it to the Divisional and subsequently, being eliminated by the Super Bowl champion New England Patriots. Phillip Rivers quietly had a fantastic season with over 4,300 yards, 32 touchdowns, and only 12 interceptions. I had Melvin Gordon on my fantasy team and he won me multiple weeks. The Chargers are a team that are really hot when they’re hot and frozen cold when they’re off. This game is a toss up but I think the Colts lose this game since it’s going to be played in Los Angeles. The Colts are 3-2 now.

New Orleans Saints 13-3:

Passing: 252.6 (12th)

Rushing: 126.6 (6th)

Total Defense: 349.1 (14th)

My wife is a huge Saints fan and I can’t tell you how loud she yelled at the TV with the missed call heard round the world which launched the Rams into the Super Bowl. The Saints were clearly robbed from a Super Bowl appearance against the Patriots, and would’ve been a better game, honestly. Drew Brees continues to impress with another (nearly) 4,000 season at 3,992 yards. He threw 32 touchdowns and only 5 interceptions which is incredible for a nearly 40-year-old QB. I also had Michael Thomas on my team who caught 125 passes for 1,405 yards and 9 touchdowns. Not only that but Alvin Kamara had 14 touchdowns on the ground with 863 yards on the ground. Kamara also had 81 receptions for 709 yards and 4 touchdowns. I hate to say it, but my wife’s team is going to kill our team in a blowout. The Saints are too good. The Colts are 4-3 on the season now.

Pittsburgh Steelers 9-6-1:

Passing: 313 (2nd)

Rushing: 90.3 (31st)

Total Defense: 327.2 (6th)

The Steelers lost a few key players, and by key, I mean elite players at their position. Le’Veon Bell went to the Jets after a bitter exit and a year-long holdout over contract negotiations. Antonio Brown also bounced after a trade to the Raiders and had another bitter exit. Pittsburgh is going to be a much different team this year and the Colts have this game in the bag. The Colts are now 5-3 on the season.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 5-11:

Passing: 320.1 (1st)

Rushing: 95.2 (29th)

Total Defense: 383.4 (27th)

The Buccaneers had a very up and down season, including a meltdown by Ryan Fitzpatrick on Monday Night Football. Both Winston and Fitzpatrick had very pedestrian seasons along with a rushing game that was non-existent. The only bright spot on this team was Mike Evans with 86 receptions with 1,524 yards and a whopping 17.7 yards per catch while also catching 8 touchdowns. This is an easy win for the Colts and they’re 6-3 on the season.
