The Colts haven’t gone through free agency or the draft yet, but it’s always good to look at what unit can improve for next season.

NFL teams are always looking to improve. They know that they can’t sit around and stay stagnant. Everyone is always looking for some advantage and some way to get ahead. With that in mind, which Colts unit right now is primed for the biggest improvement next season?

The wide receivers should have a better year next season. That might be because there will be some new faces in that group, but they should still be better. T.Y. Hilton will be fully healthy, and Dontrelle Inman could get re-signed and play a full season with the team.

It will be interesting to see what Deon Cain can bring to the table. The rookie tore his ACL in training camp and was never able to help the team in 2018. But he showed some flashes of brilliance during camp. People around the team are excited about him.

But Cain can’t be the only new addition to the group. The receivers didn’t have enough depth last season, and it showed against the Chiefs. Hilton was the only threat to do much at that position. When he was hobbled with that late season ankle injury, it was a killer to the offense.

Jim Irsay deserves some credit for Colts' success. dark. Next

It could be a big name like Antonio Brown, or someone in the draft. But the Colts have to add a few more receivers to make this unit shine like it can with a quarterback like Andrew Luck throwing to them.
