Colts vs. Texans week 14: A bettor’s guide

The Colts play in the biggest game in the AFC South all year long on Sunday when they play the Texans. Here is what Vegas has to say about the game.

The Colts are looking to bounce back this weekend after an embarrassing loss to the Jaguars. They look to do that against the leaders of the AFC South in Houston. It seems like a tall challenge, and Vegas also seems to think it will be hard to do.

As of the time I write this, the Texans are a 4.5 favorite to win the game in Houston. That seems like a fair spread considering what just transpired last weekend for both teams. The Colts get shutout and lose and Houston destroys Cleveland and looks dominant.

With it being a 4.5 spread, I might have to take the points with this one. I’m not sure the Colts will win outright, but I could see it being a three point game like it was the first time these two teams played. That extra point and a half gives you some cushion. I would take the points.

The over/under for this game is 48.5. Last time these two met, they combined for 71 points. It should be lower than that total, but not low enough to take the under. The Texans have been playing really good defense, but I have to think the Colts offense will get back on track.

It would be wise to take the over because of that. Andrew Luck will come out angry and looking to put up points. It should be a relatively high scoring game. Houston can also put up some points as well. The over would be a wise choice.

As always, be smart if you decide to bet on this game. But this could be a game that gets a lot of action.
