Colts ready to honor Reggie Wayne on Sunday
By Ryan Stano
The Colts will induct Reggie Wayne into the Ring of Honor during Sunday’s game against the Titans.
Reggie Wayne was one of the best receivers the Colts have ever had. He was opposite of Marvin Harrison for an entire decade and played with Peyton Manning and Andrew Luck. And now he will get honored by the Colts during their game against the Titans on Sunday.
Wayne will be put into the Ring of Honor on Sunday. Wayne was a perfect fit right next to Harrison for all of those years. He had that memorable catch in the Super Bowl against the Bears where he broke through a busted coverage. He did that a lot over the years.
Overall, he recorded more than 14,000 yards and 82 touchdowns during his 14 year career. He made the Pro Bowl six times and the first team All Pro in 2010. He also made the transition from Manning to Luck a lot easier for the rookie.
It will be good for him to be back in the building. He still has a few teammates left who play for the team. He will get a big ovation from the crowd as well, as he is one of the most popular Colts to play for the team in some time.
Wayne had some great years from the Colts, and they hope T.Y. Hilton can have some similar production. He is the best receiver on the team and has a chance to play a long time with this team if he can stay healthy.
It will be a good day for the Colts overall on Sunday. It will be even better if they can win.
