While it’s a bye week, and right in the middle of the season, we look back at all the things that happened in the first half of the year. Here is the best game.

It shouldn’t take more than one guess to figure out what the best game is. It happened pretty recently, just two weeks ago. The best game the Colts played in the first half of the season was their 37-5 drubbing of the Bills at Lucas Oil Stadium.

This was the first game all year long in which the team played a complete game offensively and defensively. Come to think of it, it still is. The Colts exercised their drop demons in this game and it led to brilliant movement of the football which led to points.

The defense also forced a glutton of turnovers, forcing five. They only allowed 3 points, the other two being off of a safety from an errant snap by Ryan Kelly. While the Bills were led by third string quarterback Derek Anderson, it doesn’t matter. The defense still made plays.

This was also the game that Marlon Mack reintroduced himself to the league. He rushed for a then career high 126 yards on 19 carries and a touchdown. He also had a receiving touchdown. This was his first game back from injury since week 2, and he was eager to show everyone what he could do.

While this was the best game of the season so far, the Colts have a chance to top that. They have a relatively easy schedule coming in, so they can put some wins together. In doing that, they could play an even better game than this one.
