The Colts have had some struggles this season, and some player just haven’t played very well. Here is who has been the Colts’ LVP through the first half of the year.

The Colts have had a rough start to the year. They are 3-5 at the midway point of the season. But while there has been plenty of blame to go around, only one player has been the worst for the team at this point in the season.

That player is Le’Raven Clark. He filled in for Anthony Castonzo for the first 6 weeks of the year while he was dealing with a hamstring injury. It’s no coincidence that the Colts have won two of the three games that Clark has been on the bench for.

While it’s always hard for bench players to be thrust into the starting lineup, Clark had all of training camp and the preseason to be ready. He showed that he is clearly someone the Colts need to move on from at the end of the season.

Clark had several holding penalties and false starts, and allowed sacks. At the very least, he forced Andrew Luck to move around in the pocket more than he needed to. Clark couldn’t stop anyone from rushing him. He also couldn’t move anyone on run plays.

The Colts are glad that they don’t have to play him anymore. Barring another injury, Clark will stay on the bench. He couldn’t even beat out rookie Braden Smith for the right tackle position when Joe Haeg went down with an injury. That says something.

Next. Colts mid-season MVP. dark

The good thing is, the worst player the Colts have had in the first half of the year is someone who shouldn’t be needed in the second half. That bodes well for the team after the bye week.
