The Colts have been getting healthier as the season goes on, but they still have injury problems. Five players have been ruled out of Sunday’s game against the Raiders.

The Colts have had injury problems all year long. Last week was the healthiest that the team has been all year long. But they still have some issues. They have ruled five players out of Sunday’s contest against the Raiders.

Malik Hooker is the biggest loss. He has been ruled out with a hip injury. He has played in every game this year after coming back from a torn ACL that cut last year short. Mike Mitchell will probably take over his role, assuming Clayton Geathers can play.

Geathers could be a game time decision. He has been out the last few weeks with a neck injury. If he can play this week, then the Colts’ safety options would be better served. If he cannot, then Corey Moore will probably be inserted into the starting lineup.

Everyone else who was ruled out was expected. Robert Turbin, Ryan Grant, Erik Swoope, and Jihad Ward are all out Sunday. Ward was also placed on IR. The team has options at all of those positions though, so they aren’t huge losses.

One of those options might be coming back. Jack Doyle is another game time decision. I am optimistic that he actually plays this week. Same with Adam Vinatieri. I expect Vinatieri to play for sure, and wouldn’t be surprised to see Doyle out there too.

Marlon Mack is up in the air. I would think he would play based on everything he did last week. But that ankle has been giving him issues. He did practice today though, so that is a good sign. Hopefully he is able to give it a go.

The Colts should still be able to play a good game even without these players available.
