Colts injury update: Five ruled out of Bills game
By Ryan Stano
The Colts released their final injury report before the game on Sunday. Five players have been ruled out, while three others are questionable.
The injury report for Sunday is officially better than it’s been all year long. Sure there are some players out still, but it is better than it has been in terms of the number of people out and the number of key people out as well.
Denico Autry will be out yet again. He has been dealing with a hamstring issue. But the Colts will have Margus Hunt back, so that is good news along the defensive line. The only other player ruled out on defense is Clayton Geathers. That means Mike Mitchell will get the start again.
That is good news for the defense. They are finally relatively healthy and should be able to play some good football. Chris Milton is questionable with a hamstring, and Arthur Maulet is questionable with a hip. I would guess Milton would play.
On offense, Jack Doyle, Ryan Grant, and Robert Turbin have all been ruled out. Doyle continues to be a big loss, but losing Grant and Turbin isn’t too bad. T.Y. Hilton should play and that will be a big boost to an offense who is short on reliable pass catchers.
This is as healthy as the team has been in a long time. Hopefully that health breeds good football. Having all of the starters back in full force should allow the Colts to execute better on both sides of the ball.
Winning this game could help the Colts get back on track. They are still only two games back in the division. They still have something to play for. It will be interesting to see just how good a healthy Colts team is.
