The Colts play against the Jets on Sunday in a game they desperately need to win. Here are some key matchups to keep an eye on during the course of the game.

The Colts play a very winnable game against the Jets on Sunday. Part of that game being so winnable are the matchups that the two teams have. Here are some of those key matchups and how they will affect the outcome of the game.

Colts O-Line vs. Jets D-Line

Recently, the Colts’ offensive line hasn’t been too bad. They have kept Andrew Luck upright and have given him enough time to throw the ball. But the Jets defensive line will be motivated with former Colts Henry Anderson and Tarell Basham looking for revenge. This will be the most important matchup of the game.

Darius Leonard vs. Isaiah Crowell

Leonard should be back on the field this week after missing the New England game with an ankle injury. If he plays, his main responsibility will be to slow down Crowell. He had a franchise record 219 yards on only 15 carries against the Broncos last week. Leonard should be able to keep him at bay.

Colts Receivers vs. Football

The Indy receivers have been absolutely horrendous the last two weeks. They dropped 12 balls in the last two games. They will not have the services of T.Y. Hilton for this game, so they need to step up and make catches to help out their quarterback.

Next. Colts injury report: Leonard, Hooker, Geathers back. dark

Those are the main matchups to look forward to on Sunday. Neither team has an overly talented roster, so it should be a pretty even match. Knowing that, the Indianapolis coaching staff needs to keep their composure as well. Losing another close game is not what this team needs.
