The injury news for Sunday isn’t great, but it could have been worse. Six players have been ruled out of Sunday’s matchup against the Jets.

Six players have been ruled out of the game against the Jets. Even though that sounds like a lot, that is actually one less player who is ruled out than their was officially against the Patriots. But unfortunately, one of those players is being put on Injured Reserve.

Matthias Farley is being put on IR with an assortment of injuries, including shoulder, groin, and wrist injuries. This is a big blow because he is a solid player who makes big plays. He forced a couple of turnovers against the Patriots. But now his season is done.

That is a problem because he was next in line to start with Clayton Geathers also being ruled out with his neck injury. Coach Reich said that they are just being cautious with it, but it is still a concern. Newly signed Mike Mitchell has the upper hand to start on Sunday.

Denico Autry is out again, this time with a hamstring. He had missed a couple of games because of an ankle injury before. But he is the only defensive lineman ruled out as of now. Which is good because Margus Hunt has also been on the injury report.

Denzelle Good will not play this week either. He has been dealing with the death of his brother and it doesn’t look like he is ready to play just yet. He could play next week, but the Colts are also still waiting on Joe Haeg to come back from his injury as well.

The other two ruled out we already knew about in Jack Doyle and T.Y. Hilton. While having all of these players ruled out for Sunday is bad, it could have been a lot worse. Darius Leonard looks like he will play, and Anthony Castonzo looks like he will make his season debut. Both are huge.

It would be good if the team could be fully healthy for once, but this is the best Colts fans can hope for right now.
