The Colts got some good news on the injury front. Three key defensive starters returned to practice today, and there is hope they can all play on Sunday.

There is finally good news for Colts fans on the injury front. Darius Leonard, Malik Hooker, and Clayton Geathers all returned to practice today. Hooker participated in full practice, while Leonard and Geathers did so on a limited basis.

That is great news for the defense. The defense was banged up against the Patriots, and had all kinds of issues stopping their offense. Having both safeties play would be great, and having Leonard back would be even better. They missed him badly.

The rest of the injury report is still lengthy. The only other change injury wise was Nate Hairston, who had full practice instead of limited practice. He is dealing with an ankle issue. But everyone else had no change in their status as of today. Denzelle Good did practice fully, though his absence was not injury related.

That means that Denico Autry, Eric Ebron, Matthias Farley, Margus Hunt, and Ryan Kelly all did not practice. They are out with an assortment of ailments. If Hunt ,Kelly, and Ebron can’t play, that would be massive. They would miss all three of those guys dearly.

The Colts still have one more day of practice, so hopefully some of those players end up practicing at least on a limited basis. Otherwise, they would have seven players inactive for this game. That would mean they would only have 46 players active for this game.

Coach Reich will have his work cut out for him based on the injury report so far. They preach next man up mentality, but it’s tough to have that when three starters are out on each side of the ball.
