The Colts have had plenty of quality centers suit up for them over the years. However, not many have been as consistent, reliable or resilient as Jeff Saturday.

There was just so much to love about Saturday’s career in Indianapolis. After only starting a few games during his rookie season, he asserted himself as the full-time starting center in year two and never looked back. In his final 12 seasons with the Colts, he started every single game he played in and only missed eight games over that stretch.

It’s not just his longevity though, that made Saturday one of the greatest Colts of all-time. It was also his ability to anchor the offensive line during Peyton Manning’s historic stretch with the franchise. The two worked as one, ensuring the future Pro Football Hall of Famer the best protection possible.

Offensive linemen rarely get the credit they deserve because blocking just isn’t a glorified role. However, if there’s one center in team history that belongs high on this list, it’s Saturday.
