After over a week of them playing their first game, the Colts finally have another preseason game tonight vs. the Ravens. Here is what to watch for in the matchup.

The Colts finally play their second game of the preseason tonight. The game is at 8:20pm on ESPN as part of Monday Night Football. Even though it is preseason, there is still plenty to watch for during game two. Most of it being on the defensive side of the ball.

It is imperative that the Colts defense shows some sort of improvement this evening. The starting defense was not good in their first game. The most troubling thing was the lack of pass rush that they had. They weren’t able to generate anything, which does not bode well for future games.

The development of a pass rush is the number one issue right now. If Indy can’t find a way to get some pressure on the quarterback, then they are in big trouble. I would feel a lot better if Joe Flacco was under duress during the first couple of series in tonight’s game.

The run game is also something to watch. The Colts didn’t have much of one in Seattle. With their top two backs injured, it will be interesting to see how the offense handles the running game. Expect Nyheim Hines and Jordan Wilkins to be on the field a lot.

Discipline of both teams is something to keep an eye on as well. During joint practices in Westfield, there were quite a few skirmishes that broke out. These two teams will certainly be hitting hard tonight, even if it is still preseason.
