Bashaud Breeland – Cornerback –

2017 team – Washington Redskins
2017 stats – 1 INT, 19 passes defended in 15 games
Last contract  – 4 Yrs, $2,706,000 (Rookie Deal)
Age – 26

A capable cover corner as well as a great special teamer, Breeland would be a great pickup this late in free agency.

Eric Reid – Safety –

2017 team – San Francisco 49ers
2017 stats – 2 INT, 53 Tackles in 13 games
Last contract  – $5,767,000 5th year rookie option
Age – 26

It is not known as to exactly why Reid is still unsigned, although people believe it is in connection with his protest of the national anthem. Reid has come out and said he will no longer protest, but he does not apologize for his social protests. Reid still has a lot of football left, and could come at a very fair price this close to the season.

Tre Boston – Safety

2017 team – San Diego Chargers
2017 stats – 5 INT, 79 tackles in 16 games
Last contract  – 1 Yr, $900,000
Age – 26

It is shocking to me that Boston has not found a team yet. The 26 year old is coming off of a career season with the Chargers, where he signed after being released by the Panthers in 2016. Boston visited the Colts earlier this offseason, but the meeting apparently did not go as planned according to NFL.com’s Marc Sessler.

"Boston has met with the Colts and Cardinals, saying of his Indianapolis visit: “I didn’t meet with the [general manager], [head coach] or [defensive coordinator]. I was in the lunch room for [two] hours. I even got to play basketball.”"

Junior Galette – Linebacker

2017 team – Washington Redksins
2017 stats – 3 sacks, 20 tackles in 16 games
Last contract  – 1 Yr, $800,000
Age –  30

It seems like Galette’s best football is behind him, but the 30 year old still has value in this league. The former Saint could be a good player to mentor the young linebackers, and rotate in as needed in the new 4-3 defense.

Jeremy Lane – Cornerback

2017 team – Seattle Seahawks
2017 stats – 31 tackles in 13 games
Last contract  – 4 Yrs, $23,000,000 (Released after year two)
Age – 28

The former Super Bowl champion was released from the Seahawks after a down year in 2017. This could be another cheap addition that would add depth to a thin Colts secondary.
