Lack of Depth at Skill Positions

We all know what T.Y. Hilton can do, but who else on the Colts can make plays? The answer right now is not many.

Ballard brought in receiver Ryan Grant and tight end Eric Ebron to give Luck some more options, but those are the only notable names added to the group. Right now the depth chart looks something like this:

Wide Receiver – T.Y. Hilton; Ryan Grant; Chester Rogers; Deon Cain (Rookie)

Tight End – Eric Ebron; Jack Doyle; Erik Swoope

Running Back – Marlon Mack; Nyheim Hines (Rookie); Jordan Wilkins (Rookie); Robert Turbin

Most of these names are unproven veterans or rookies, which is a good thing if they pan out long term, but I am unsure of how impactful they will be this season.

The Colts need to get as many of these names as possible involved in the offense from day one. We will see what kind of players they will become once they get targets and game reps.
