The Colts have to be mentally stronger next season, and several players have talked about struggling with that last year.
The Colts were not the most mentally strong team last year. There have been several players that have come out and said that they struggled mentally last season, and it affected their play. They know that they have to do better.
Anthony Castonzo talked about it and shared some insight as to what he was going through.
Interesting: Anthony Castonzo says one of the keys to his mostly-successful 2017 was "getting out of my own head." Admitted to overthinking it in years past, getting down on himself and having it spiral.

Castonzo also talked about how Andrew Luck was mentally while away from the team.
Castonzo, of of Andrew Luck's closest friends/teammates: "A year ago at this time, he was really down on himself ... He's doing absolutely everything he can to get back."

Both players clearly were not where they needed to be mentally. They weren’t the only players who weren’t mentally strong last year either. The whole team showed that they were not able to close out close games, which is the mark of a mentally weak team.
Both of the quotes above show that the team needs to focus more on the mental aspect of the game. Getting mentally stronger helps the team grow physically stronger as well. Luck definitely needs to let go of any guilt that he might have about being away from the team. He has to be the most mentally strong player on the team.

Frank Reich and his staff should be able to implement a new way of thinking into the entire organization. The entire team will be mentally stronger from here on out.
