Linebacker Trev Alberts had a similar career to Bjoern Werner playing only three years in the NFL before leaving the league, but he was taken even higher than Werner with the fifth overall pick in the 1994 NFL Draft.

Alberts finished his career with just 49 tackles and obviously never made an impact with the Colts.
Fortunately, the Colts hit a home run earlier in that draft by selecting Marshall Faulk with the second overall pick.
