Indianapolis Colts: Worst NFL Draft Picks in Franchise History
By Andrew Ites
Quarterback Jeff George
The Colts selected Jeff George with the first overall pick in the 1990 NFL Draft, and it’s safe to say he didn’t become the franchise quarterback that they hoped he would.
George actually turned out to be a solid NFL QB, but he was terrible during his four years in Indianapolis throwing 46 interceptions and just 41 touchdowns.
Hall of Famers Cortez Kennedy and Junior Seau were taken after Jeff George in the top five in 1990, and they certainly would’ve been better picks at number one overall.
