Defensive Lineman Denico Autry

Chris Ballard’s comments about the acquisition of Denico Autry revealed that he has heard some of the outcry from Colts fans over their quiet free agency period. However, you can tell that he expects Autry to be a very solid addition to the roster.

"“I’d seen him (when I worked) in Kansas City. He’s a good player and he’s going to help our front. What you see is the defensive line is going to be one of the engines that drives us going forward. You need seven or eight guys that can get that done. And Autry is a good example. We think we got a good player at a fair market value for the player. We know we have some voids to fill. But people have to let us work,” Ballard told Stephen Holder."

Autry was a necessary addition to replace Johnathan Hankins in the Colts’ new 4-3 scheme under Matt Eberflus.
