Indianapolis Colts 2018 Mock Draft 4.1: Second Round Picks
By Andrew Ites
Round 2: 36th Overall Pick
The Colts are in desperate need of inside linebacker talent after Jon Bostic walked away in free agency. Boise State’s Leighton Vander Esch could come in and start right away in the middle of Indianapolis’ defense.
He had an obnoxiously productive season with 141 total tackles, 8.5 tackles for loss, 4 sacks, 2 interceptions, and 5 pass breakups at Boise State last year. If Vander Esch could bring a fraction of that production to the NFL, the Colts’ defense would be much improved in 2018.
