The Colts have been extremely busy over the past week in free agency. They have done a good job plugging some holes, but they still have holes they need to fill.

Indianapolis has been extremely busy over the last few days. They have been signing all kinds of free agents. They have done a good job addressing some key need areas: offensive line, pass rusher, and wide receiver. But there is still work to be done.

The team still has plenty of other holes to fill. The most notable hole would be wide receiver. Even with the recent signing of Ryan Grant, they still only have three receivers under contract. They are going to need more depth, so expect them to sign a few more within the next few days.

Another area of need is running back. The Colts did just re-sign Christine Michael, but he is a situational back. Unless the team is willing to go with Marlon Mack all three downs, expect them to pick up another running back. This could be in the form of a free agent signing, or in the form of drafting a back like Saquon Barkley.

Even though the team signed a pass rusher, Denico Autry, they still need more of a difference maker at that position. This need will likely need to be filled in the draft as most pass rushers that are truly difference makers don’t make it to free agency.

Linebacker is another position where the Colts need help desperately. They let Jon Bostic walk, and the linebackers they have left aren’t ideal. The tragic death of Eddie Jackson also complicates this position. He was supposed to step in and have an impact this season.

With the initial craziness of free agency winding down, expect the Colts to make some under-the-radar type signings. They could get some very good value late in the cycle that could bring an immediate impact to the roster this season.
