According to multiple reports, the Colts have agreed to a five year deal with Frank Reich to come on as head coach.

Stop me if you’ve heard this before; the Colts have hired a head coach. As noted earlier, Frank Reich was the favorite to become Indy’s new head coach. Now it appears as though it is a done deal.

Multiple reports have come out saying that the Reich has agreed to a five year deal to become the new coach of the Indianapolis Colts. He is the former offensive coordinator of the Philadelphia Eagles. He led the Eagles offense to score 41 points against he Patriots in the Super Bowl.

This is a report Colts fans have heard before. Josh McDaniels was reportedly the Colts head coach at this time last week. Fans, as they should, probably won’t believe it’s true until Reich is sitting next to GM Chris Ballard at an introductory press conference.

Reich already has some assistants on staff, as they were signed under McDaniels. Matt Eberflus will stay on as defensive coordinator, and offensive line coach Dave DeGuglielmo will stay as well. Reich will get to choose his offensive coordinator however.

Reich seems to be a man of high integrity. He seems to not be the kind of person to back out of an agreement. If he is introduced as the Colts next head coach, fans should be very happy. He is a great offensive mind who is great with quarterbacks. He worked with Peyton Manning while on Tony Dungy‘s staff back in 2008 and stayed with the Colts until 2011.

If what Reich did with Nick Foles is any indication, Andrew Luck should benefit significantly from this hire. Reich can help him improve his game, and help him turn the ball over less. The Colts just got a lot more exciting for the 2018 season.
