Tight End Dwayne Allen

The Colts had two quality tight ends on their roster in Jack Doyle and Dwayne Allen, but Indianapolis decided to trade Allen to New England and offer a contract extension to Doyle to become their tight end of the future last offseason.

Indianapolis sent Allen and a 2017 sixth round pick to New England in exchange for a 2017 fourth round draft pick.

That fourth round pick unfortunately turned into Zach Banner who did not make the 53-man roster this season.

Allen caught 126 passes for 1,451 yards and 19 touchdowns during his five seasons in Indianapolis, but he hasn’t had a great impact for the Patriots with only 10 receptions on the year.
