Former Colt Edgerrin James Named as Hall of Fame Finalist

Former Colts running back Edgerrin James was one of the 15 finalists named for the 2018 Hall of Fame.
Former Colts great Edgerrin James was named a finalist for the Hall of Fame class of 2018. He is a finalist for the second time in his fourth year of eligibility. The former Colt is already in the Ring of Honor in Lucas Oil Stadium, but this would be the ultimate honor.
The Colts official twitter account announced this a short while ago.
James has a chance to get in just two years after other Colt greats Marvin Harrison and Tony Dungy were inducted in 2016. James is probably the best running back the Colts have ever had wearing their uniform.
Some of his accolades include being the 1999 offensive rookie of the year, seven 1000 yard rushing seasons, and double-digit rushing touchdowns four times. He was drafted by the Colts after he went to the University of Miami.
James was part of the three-headed monster in Indy, forming a lethal attack with Harrison and Peyton Manning. Add in Reggie Wayne, who was drafted a couple of years after James, and the Colts had one of the most prolific offenses in the league.

It will be interesting to see if James can get in this year. He has a great case to get into the Hall, but he has some steep competition. Hopefully he can get his bronze bust this year.
