According to Bleacher Report’s Jason Cole, the Indianapolis Colts are among the NFL teams that are interested in Dallas Cowboys defensive end Jack Crawford.

The Colts join the Buffalo Bills and Jacksonville Jaguars as potential suitors that are interested in Crawford, although the 5th-year veteran could also still return to the Cowboys:

Originally selected by the Oakland Raiders in the 5th round of the 2012 NFL Draft, the 6’5″, 288 pound defensive lineman is coming off a season for the Cowboys in which he recorded 25 tackles and 3.5 sacks in 16 games (10 starts).

Per Pro Football Focus (subscription), Crawford was ranked 106th out of 109 ‘edge defenders’ with a +40.7 grade overall.

The 28 year old has appeared in 57 career games (11 starts) with both the Cowboys and Raiders, recording 43 tackles, 9.5 sacks, and a forced fumble in 5 seasons.

With the Colts ‘not expected to tender‘ restricted free agent Zach Kerr and veteran Art Jones far from a lock to return to the team, Indianapolis could be in the market for additional rotational depth along the defensive line.

Crawford could be a ‘buy low’ candidate for the Colts with starting experience and shouldn’t cost much on a new deal. However, his underwhelming advanced grade could be a cause for concern for any potential suitor in free agency.
