Titans at Colts Inactives: Vontae Davis Good to Go; Patrick Robinson ‘Out’
The Indianapolis Colts announced their inactive players for Sunday’s 1 PM EST game against the Tennessee Titans:
Of course, the biggest name on the list is starting cornerback Patrick Robinson (groin), who had not practiced all week and was previously listed as ‘doubtful’ entering the weekend.
In his absence, expect to see emerging young cornerback Rashaan Melvin starting on the other side of Vontae Davis with nickelback Darius Butler covering the slot.
The positive news is that Vontae Davis (ankle)–who himself was ‘questionable’ looks like he’s healthy enough to play. Otherwise, the Colts would’ve been without their two starting cornerbacks facing the red hot Marcus Mariota at quarterback.
Meanwhile, defensive end Art Jones, also ‘questionable’, appears that he’s over his illness and will be available to potentially start.
The Colts could be heavily relying on the veteran defensive lineman in the wake of placing fellow veteran defensive end Kendall Langford on injured reserve on Saturday.
It looks as though Milton, King, Clark, Blythe, Street, and Maggitt were all healthy inactives for today’s game against the Titans, having not been listed previously on the injury report.
