Colts vs Lions: Week 1 Where to Watch

The Indianapolis Colts host the Detroit Lions this afternoon and we’ve got everything you need to be ready for gametime.

The Colts open up the season with a wounded defense and facing a Lions offense with an awful lot of weapons. The injury report didn’t paint a pretty picture for the Colts, but a number of players are trending back towards playing in the near future.

Andrew Luck was a surprise addition to the report, but according to coach Chuck Pagano and Luck himself, he’s just fine. According to Will Carroll, Luck has a fraying of the labrum that stemmed from his injury last season. It is more of a mild concern than anything else and the Colts are essentially keeping him on a pitch count in practice to keep his shoulder fresh.

Earlier in the week the Colts churned up the roster to add secondary and outside linebacker depth. The Colts pushing the definition of next man up this week and will be digging deep into the depth chart, and it is only Week 1.

This week we looked at why a slow start to the season will be a problem for the Colts. We also previewed the contest with the Lions and let fans know what they should be on the lookout for on Sunday.
