3. Vontae Davis, Cornerback

Having had minor offseason foot surgery, Colts cornerback Vontae Davis should now be ready to go for the team’s training camp.

The 28 year old veteran started in all of the team’s 16 games this past season, but may have been bothered by injuries more than either he or the team initially led on.

Named to a consecutive Pro Bowl appearance, Davis still played at a very high level for the Colts. However, he allowed 7 touchdowns in coverage after not giving up a single touchdown just a season prior.

Seeing just how well Davis is moving around, coming off foot surgery and having battled injuries, could give Colts fans further assurance that he’ll regain his 2014 shutdown cornerback form.
