Left Wide Receiver: Donte Moncrief,

Quan Bray

Having released veteran Andre Johnson earlier this offseason, 22 year old Donte Moncrief now mans the starting wide receiver position on the other side of star wideout T.Y. Hilton.

The 3rd-year wideout seems poised for a breakout season with the Colts, coming off a season in which he caught 64 receptions for 733 receiving yards and 6 touchdown receptions. The general rule of thumb for wide receivers is that it takes them 3 years to finally reach their stride, which means Moncrief could make a significant jump this upcoming season.

The 6’2″, 222 pound wide receiver is blessed with considerable speed and soft hands, having built a rapport with Luck as a trusted red zone target. Specifically, 5 of Moncrief’s 6 touchdowns came last season in the 7 games when Luck actually played.

Playing behind Moncrief is standout special teams returnman Quan Bray, who the team is trying to get more involved with its wide receiver packages as well. The 2nd-year pro doesn’t have a career reception, but that should change this season given his seemingly special ability with the football in his hands.
