Right Cornerback: Vontae Davis, Darius Butler

Colts shutdown cornerback Vontae Davis returns as a starter for the defense, coming off a consecutive Pro Bowl appearance. Perhaps battling injuries, the 28 year old cornerback was very good, but not great for the Colts this past season and will look to regain his 2014 form–a season in which he didn’t allow a single touchdown reception against him in coverage.

Primarily playing as the slot cornerback for the Colts is Darius Butler, who struggled in his own regard a bit last season. Still, the 8-year veteran has proven to be a reliable nickelback for the Colts in his prior 4 seasons with the team. He’s much more comfortable and effective covering the slot, whereas he was forced to play cornerback on the outside last season due to injuries to other key players at the position.
