Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck has been healthy and fully participating in the team’s OTA’s this week, which is an encouraging sign to say the least:

"“Yeah, no limitations. It’s been fun to get out there,” said Luck on Tuesday."

His head coach Chuck Pagano said that Luck “looks really good”, as he’s returning to the football field after suffering a season-ending lacerated kidney injury in Week 9 of this past season:

"“Yeah, I think he looks really good,” said Pagano on Tuesday. “He’s in a good place and like everyone else, he’s learning right now…He’s doing a good job and progressing like everyone else.”"

That being said, Luck also realizes that he has to do a better job of protecting his body in order to mitigate his chances for future injury.

The 26 year old quarterback has to be able to get rid of the football quicker in the pocket and properly learn to slide on scrambles.

Something that Luck assuredly already knows, as he said he has an “obligation to keep himself healthy”:

"“You’re going to change things every year,” said Luck. “Hopefully, you improve every year. I definitely think like always that I have an obligation to keep myself healthy. Not only to myself, but this team. That dictates change in preparation a little bit and how you do things.”"

Nevertheless, it’s great to see that Luck is fully participating in OTA’s and there have been no setbacks as by all indications, the quarterback has looked really good.

Luck is just one season removed from a league-leading 40 touchdown pass season and carrying the Colts to the AFC Championship game.

If the young quarterback is healthy and can play at a high level, the Colts have a chance to make some serious noise in the AFC this season–where there’s not a whole lot of separation between most teams competitively.
