The Indianapolis Colts made a couple minor moves today, signing another tackle and releasing a linebacker.

The Colts signed free agent offensive tackle Jeremy Vujnovich this afternoon. To make room for Vujnovich, the team also waived linebacker Anthony Sarao.

Vujnovich spent the past two seasons on the Green Bay Packers practice squad. He was signed to a future/reserve contract in January before being released by the Packers three days ago. He had a collegiate career that was full of accolades as well. From the Colts release:

"Collegiately, Vujnovich started 28-of-29 career games at Louisiana College from 2009-2012. As a senior in 2012, he earned First Team American Southwest Conference honors, Second Team All-Louisiana recognition by the Louisiana Sports Writers Association and Second Team All-South Region accolades by D3football.com after starting 10 games at left tackle. In 2011, Vujnovich started nine games at left tackle and earned First Team ASC honors. As a sophomore in 2010, he earned All-ASC honorable mention honors after starting nine games at left tackle. Vujnovich saw action in one game as a true freshman in 2009."

Sarao, on the other hand, lasted with the Colts for just over a week. He was signed as an undrafted free agent on May 2 and took part in the team’s three-day rookie minicamp. The former USC Trojan had a fairly impressive collegiate career. He appeared in 54 games and started in 34 of them. His career stats include 217 tackles, 12.5 tackles for loss, seven sacks, two fumble recoveries, one forced fumble, five passes defensed and two interceptions.

Apparently the Colts saw enough of Sarao in camp and decided they needed another tackle to throw at the offensive line problems.

Neither of these move are going to end up being of any consequence. Both players are likely just going to add depth as the Colts get their training camp rosters set for July.
