Tevaun Smith, WR Iowa

Summary:

The 6’2″, 205 pound wideout caught 32 receptions for 563 receiving yards and 3 touchdowns in 12 games for the Hawkeyes this past season.

Per NFL.com, Smith was regarded as one of the top senior prospects entering this past season:

"Tevaun Smith, WR, Iowa The Hawkeyes’ top receiving threat grew up in Toronto, Ontario, but is now very familiar with American football. Smith (6-2, 200) has flashed potential in a part-time starting role the past two seasons (honorable mention All-Big Ten in 2014 with 43 catches for 596 yards and three scores), and is ready to become the team’s go-to playmaker. He has the ability to be a solid No. 2 option for an NFL team within a couple of seasons."

While Smith’s production was solid if unspectacular, his measurables at his Iowa pro day were. Specifically, Smith ran a forty times of 4.41 and 4.38, while also boasting a 38 inch vertical jump.

He has the type of height and speed that the Colts covet at the wide receiver position and could challenge for a spot lower on the depth chart.

According to NFL.com’s Gil Brandt, he’s among one of the NFL’s top undrafted free agents.
