Leviticus Payne, CB Cincinnati (*invite to rookie mini-camp)

Summary:

The 5’7″, 196 pound senior cornerback started in 12 games for the Bearcats, recording 42 tackles including 3.5 tackles for loss, a forced fumble, and a forced fumble recovery.

While he may be small in stature, Payne plays bigger than his size as he’s tough and likes to hit, as he played linebacker for the Bearcats in order to help the team win just a season prior. During his junior season, Payne recorded 57 tackles including 5.5 tackles for loss, 2 sacks, 7 pass breakups, and an interception.

At his pro day, Payne posted a 4.57 forty time, had 15 bench press reps, and posted a 32 inch vertical leap.

Like Milton, Payne could compete for reps at cornerbacks or perhaps even as a hybrid safety. If nothing else, he has the makings of a solid special teams contributor.
