Summary:

The 5’11”, 203 pound senior safety recorded 61 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, 3 pass breakups, a sack, and a fumble recovery (that he returned 45 yards for a touchdown) in 13 games. He earned All-Pac 12 honorable mention for the first time.

Additionally, he received Cal’s Joe Roth Award this past season, which is given to the player who best exemplifies courage, sportsmanship, and attitude.

Since his sophomore year, McClure is the only Cal player in the team’s history to serve as a captain for 3 seasons.

Overall, he played in 37 games for the Golden Bears including 28 starts, having missed the entire 2012 season due to an injury, and then 7 and 4 games as a sophomore and junior respectively.
