Blake Frohnapfel, QB UMass(*invite to rookie mini-camp)

Summary:

The 6’6″, 238 pound senior quarterback for the Minutemen completed 266 throws for 2,919 passing yards, 16 touchdowns, and 13 interceptions in 12 games.

In that regard, Frohnapfel had a somewhat disappointing final season, as he threw for 3,345 passing yards, 23 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions just a season prior.

The quarterback has ideal size for the position, but is turnover prone and has a tendency to stare down his receivers (via his NFL.com draft profile):

"DRAFT PROJECTION Undrafted free agent"

"BOTTOM LINE Frohnapfel might have NFL size, but he doesn’t have enough arm to overcome the turnovers that could plague him thanks to his slow release and penchant for looking down targets. Maybe his size will get him into a camp, but unless he has a banner postseason, it’s hard to see his game tape getting teams excited."
