According to the Baltimore Sun’s Aaron Wilson, the Indianapolis Colts are among the NFL teams that have a visit scheduled with West Virginia safety Karl Joseph:

The 5’10”, 205 pound safety was limited to 4 games in his senior season, as he suffered a torn ACL during a non-contact practice early in the year. Until that time, Joseph was leading the FBS with 5 interceptions and was off to yet another highly productive season for the Mountaineers.

Joseph has started all 38 games in which he has played.

Not to mention, he was named 1st-Team All-Big 12 just a season prior as a junior. During that season, Joseph recorded 92 tackles including 4.5 tackles for loss, 1 interception, and 3 forced fumbles.

Currently, Joseph is ranked as NFL Network Mike Mayock’s 2nd best safety overall in this year’s NFL Draft class and should be an early round selection (via his NFL.com draft profile):

Different teams may have differing opinions of how best to utilize him, but Joseph has proven he can make plays in man coverage or play disciplined enough to be trusted on the back. His average size and subsequent durability will concern some teams due to his aggressive, attacking demeanor; however, Joseph is talented enough to become an early starter and high-impact safety down the road if the medicals check out."

He has the type of playmaking ability and production that teams simply covet at the safety position:
