The Indianapolis Colts announced roster moves on Thursday, as the team signed a pair of ex-New England Patriots wide receivers Josh Boyce and Brian Tyms, while waiving OG Ben Heenan in a corresponding move.

Originally a 4th round pick of the New England Patriots in 2013 out of TCU, Boyce has appeared in 9 games during his 3-year NFL career–recording 9 receptions for 121 receiving yards. He also has limited experience returning kicks, as he has 9 career kick returns for 214 return yards (23.8 avg KO return).

The 5’11”, 205 pound wideout spent last season on the Patriots injured reserve after being clearing waivers before the start of the regular season.

Regarding Tyms, the wideout was originally signed by the San Francisco 49ers as an undrafted free agent in 2012 out of Florida A&M. Since then, he’s spent time with the Miami Dolphins and Cleveland Browns organizations before joining the New England Patriots over the past two seasons.

The 6’3″, 204 pound wideout has appeared in 18 career games with both the Patriots and Browns, recording 7 receptions for 94 receiving yards and a touchdown. Like Boyce, he spent the entirety of this past season on the Patriots injured reserve.

To make some room for the pair of ex-Patriots wideouts, the Colts released offensive guard, Ben Heenan, who spent this past season on the team’s practice squad.

The former “north of the border” offensive line standout was the 1st overall pick of the CFL Draft in 2012 and spent last year’s training camp with the Colts before tearing his meniscus.

However, he was subsequently signed to the team’s practice squad this past November before being waived Thursday.

Update (6:32 PM EST): Apparently, Heenan has retired from professional football all together:
