According to DraftInsider.net’s Tony Pauline, the Indianapolis Colts have a visit scheduled with Georgia Southern safety Antonio Glover:

"“The safety measured 6004, 186 pounds, completed 16 reps on the bench, touched 37 inches in the vertical jump and a broad jump of 10-7,” writes Pauline. “His 40 timed in the 4.5s, but the time was adjusted downwards to the 4.42s area as players ran the 40 on a soccer field due to the condition of the football field.”“Glover, who has solid game film, met with the Tennessee Titans last night and the Detroit Lions this morning. He’s flying to see the Indianapolis Colts on an official “30” visit.”"

The 6’0″, 186 pound safety started in 13 games at strong safety for the Eagles this past season, recording 56 tackles–including 2 tackles for loss, 1 fumble recovery, 6 pass breakups, and typing a school record with 6 interceptions. His exceptional play earned him 1st-Team All-Sun Belt honors.

In his 4 seasons with the Eagles, Glover made 27 starts for Georgia Southern at safety.

Of course, the Colts could use a long-term answer at safety, where starting veteran safety Mike Adams just turned 35 years old and is entering the last year of his Colts contract.

Not to mention, the team lost fellow starting safety Dwight Lowery to the San Diego Chargers in free agency.

While his replacement Clayton Geathers appears ready to start, Lowery’s loss does negatively impact the team’s safety depth, so a safety prospect such as Glover could be a solid developmental backup at the position.
