The Indianapolis Colts have a number of free agents this offseason, but which ones are they going they offer new contracts to?

The Colts have a number of impact players set to hit the open market. More than a few of them should be re-signed by GM Ryan Grigson in the coming months. The Colts are about to hit the point where team’s have to rely more heavily on the draft for their talent as opposed to dipping deeply into free agency.

Andrew Luck’s impending contract is going to cost the Colts about $20 million a year, and that means they’ll have to be a lot pickier with who gets contract extensions going forward. This is going to start looking a lot like the mid-2000s Colts roster with a lot of turnover at “expendable” positions coupled with more youth.

The Colts need to retain the most talented players on the roster and it starts this offseason.

Today we look at who they’ll be offering a contract to for 2016 and beyond. The Colts have 17 free agents, but were not going to break every single player down. A number of them won’t be brought back next season (or will merely be training camp bodies).
