The Colts kept two of the franchise’s dubious streaks going:

The team has failed to have a 1,000 yard rusher since Joseph Addai back in 2007.

The team has failed to have a 100 yard rusher in a game since Vick Ballard accomplished the feat in Week 15 of the 2012 season.

However, neither was exactly Gore’s fault, as the 32 year old running back was still productive behind a shaky Colts run blocking offensive line. On the season, Gore finished with 967 rushing yards on 260 carries (3.7 ypc average) and 6 rushing touchdowns.

Despite limited running lanes, Gore ran hard and with purpose for the Colts–perhaps their best natural running back since Edgerrin James famously donned Horseshoe Blue.

While big plays were limited, Gore was solid, if unspectacular. There were a lot things that went wrong with the Colts offense in 2015, but Gore was one of the few ones that actually went mostly right. He was a solidifying presence in the team’s backfield.
. 3-years. $12 million. FRANK GORE. B+
