T.Y. Hilton

Grade: B+

What went right: For the third straight season, Hilton managed to eclipse 1,000 yards receiving  and led the Colts in both receptions (64) and yardage (1,124). His touchdowns were down slightly, he had five, but not far off from 2014 when he had seven. Hilton was consistent throughout the year, especially considering the up and down play at quarterback. Only once this season was he held to less than two receptions (against the Panthers and Josh Norman).

What went wrong: Hilton was a victim of the injuries at quarterback, much like every other player on offense. Hilton looked poised to become a high volume receiver, even in a system with a high number of receiving options. Had Luck stayed healthy all season there is little doubt that Hilton would have at least reached his 2014 totals.

Offseason expectations: Hilton just signed a big new contract and there is little reason to expect any change in his status. He’s going to be paired with Luck for his entire career and is clearly the team’s best receiver. All the talk of Dorsett possibly taking his spot never really made much sense as Hilton has a much better relationship on the field with Luck. With a healthy Luck, expect a big 2016 from Hilton.
