Krein just completed his 5th season as the Miami Dolphins strength and conditioning coach (2011-15). Krein has won the title of NFL Strength Coach of the Year previously.
Before joining the Dolphins, Krein was a member of the Seattle Seahawks strength and conditioning coaching staff (1997-98 and 2001-09).
Originally a 1994 5th round pick of the San Diego Chargers, Krein suffered a knee injury in his rookie season. While he was subsequently claimed by the Green Bay Packers, Krein never played a snap in the NFL. He played the 1996 season with the Barcelona Dragons, but re-injured his knee and was forced to retire.
Krein played collegiately with the Miami Hurricanes (1989-1993), he was a first-team All-Big East selection as a senior at inside linebacker.
