Outside Linebacker: Duane Bickett (1985-1993)

Bickett started every season he was with the team and was not only a talented linebacker but pass rusher as well. He was the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year in 1985, finishing the year with six sacks and a staggering 141 tackles. The former USC linebacker was simply a force on the edge for the Colts.

Bickett ranks a distant third in sacks with the franchise at 50, behind Mathis and Freeney. He only made one Pro Bowl appearance, but was strong presence on the Colts defense for nearly a decade. In nine years with the Colts, Bickett racked up 1,052 tackles, putting him first all-time in franchise history.

Bickett played and started 137 games while he was with the Colts. He forced nine interceptions and eight forced fumbles (recovering fumbles 14 times) during his time in Indianapolis. He was a playmaker and solid defender on the field, doing everything you would ask of an outside linebacker.
