Tight End:

Dallas Clark

(2003-2011)

Save for Tony Gonzalez, Clark might have been the start of a new wave of tight ends whose primary function was catching the ball. Clark only went to the Pro Bowl once, but also made the All-Pro roster in 2009 which was one of the best years ever put in by a tight end (100 receptions, 1,106 yards, 10 touchdowns).

Clark was one of Manning’s favorite toys and an integral part of the Colts high powered offense. He averaged 11.4 yards per reception during his time in Indy and was never the same after leaving. Clark was starting to break down at the end of his career, but it was clear that no one knew how to use him quite like Manning.
