The Colts are still desperately searching to replace Saturday and might not ever be able to do so. While Manning gets a lot of the credit for the success of the Colts offense, Saturday was an integral part of making it work. He’s the one who would change the protection, point out blitzers, or decide who to double team. When he wasn’t in the lineup, the blocking took a big hit and not just because of a talent drop off.

Saturday could end up in the Hall of Fame, not just because he was a very good center, but also because he was instrumental in ending the lockout in 2011. He was also a six time member of the Pro Bowl and twice named to the All-Pro roster. Every player around Manning is sure to get a bump in their play, but Saturday was a great player in his own right.
