2. It seems like the Texans perpetually have problems and bad luck at quarterback. What do you expect from T.J. Yates and the offense this week?
"Their luck at quarterback is crazy. I have never seen one team’s position group so snake bitten with injuries and malfunctioning alarms…. As for the starter this week, I think T.J. Yates is smart enough to know what he can’t do, which is turn the ball over. He will take a chance or two, most likely to DeAndre Hopkins, but he does it at the right times. As for the rest of the offense, look for them to mix things up between run and pass to keep the defense off balance. They may even throw the wildcat back in the mix, as it was successful in his last start against the Jets with Cecil Shorts III running things from that formation."
My take:
Every season we seem to say “man, if the Texans can get it figured out at QB, they’ll be great.” But nothing ever changes. Yates isn’t a very good QB and nothing in his history suggests that he’ll suddenly have a great game against the Colts.
The Texans couldn’t do anything last week against the Pats, and while the Colts defense isn’t great, they should be able to cause problems for the Yates led Texans.
