The Indianapolis Colts are a team slowly falling apart and the lone hope to save the season might still be weeks away from returning.
Speaking to the media today, Andrew Luck said that he wasn’t sure if he would be returning to practice or not this week. His goal is get back into a normal routine, but he apparently doesn’t feel 100 percent yet.
Andrew Luck speaking to the media today. Not sure if he's practicing this week. "Hopefully, definitely that's the goal."

Andrew Luck says the goal is to practice this week. Still doesn't feel 100% back yet

The Colts have managed to go 2-2 while Luck has been recovering, but the past two losses have shown just how anemic this offense really is without him. Two blowout losses in a row appear to have the team in almost panic mode while fans are clamoring for Luck’s return. A lacerated kidney takes time to heal and while healing Luck hasn’t been able to engage in much physical activity. That means after five weeks his conditioning is likely down and his throwing rhythm is probably just as bad. Last week was the first time that Luck returned to passing the football (at least at the Colts Complex) and even if he were to return this week, there is certainly a fair amount of rust to kick off.
Luck says he feels great throwing; conditioning still needs some work. Sounds like he'll practice this week and hopes to play Sunday.

Luck still hasn’t been cleared by doctors to return to the field yet. He still has to have an MRI to determine if the kidney is fully healed.
Luck made it very clear: 2 steps to returning. Has to be cleared by doctors to practice, then to play.

Regardless of what happens this week, Luck is determined to return this season. The Colts be knocked out of the playoffs with a loss this weekend, but Luck would still want to play.
Andrew Luck was unequivocal: He WILL play this season. His words, not mine.
