Jim Harbaugh (1994-97)

Harbaugh ended a dreadful seven year playoff drought for the Colts. He was never a dominating force on the field, but had a knack for rallying the team and leading game winning drives, leading six of them while in Indianapolis.

Harbaugh nearly took the Colts to the Super Bowl in 1995, with the Colts coming up short against the Steelers in a game littered with questionable calls (it might have been a blessing in disguise as the Steelers ran into the buzzsaw that was the mid-90s Cowboys in Super Bowl XXX). Harbaugh would be named AFC Player of the Year and runner-up for MVP.

Harbaugh’s lasting impact has been big on Indianapolis. He helped revive the franchise for a brief time and coached the team’s current quarterback at Stanford. There have even been rumors that he would come coach the Colts in 2016 (which will not happen).
